How On change brake pads and rotors on a 89 Chevy caprice classic?
1- pull the 2--5/16 hex bolts
2- remove the caliper, remove the pads and compress the caliper with a c clamp
3- remove the dust cap with a screwdriver carefully, remove the safety pin and set it aside, remove the retainer and nut
4- twist the rotor to release the bearing to the outer one and install only the nut a few turns
5- pull the rotor to remove the inner bearing and seal
6- repack the inner bearing with grease, install the bearing and tap the seal back in
7- install the rotor, repack the outer bearing, install, put washer in place and snug nut into place, look up tightening specs, install castle nut and install cotter pin
9- install the pads in reverse as you taken them out
