I have a 2000 mazda protege with 53,000 miles on it. It has never had its brake pads changed because I use brakes as little as possible. Will I definitely hear a squeaking sound when it needs new pads? Or do some brake pads have no wear indicators which means I might wear out the rotors?

Not all brake pads have wear indicators, nor will you be guaranteed to hear wear indicators(if equipped) before the friction material(brake pads) are done.
At 53k your OEM rotors will need to be replaced as well as the pads. Machining brake rotors is an antiquated process in auto repair today.
