Is it nessary to replace capillary when change brake pads to motorcycle?

Remove old pads from calipher, it may be necessary to push piston/s back into calipher in order to install new pads. After installation squeeze lever/pedal a few times to position new pads then you are done. WHAT is capillary ???

It would depend on the condition of the lines. If they are in bad shape then yes, change them. In general I do not think you would have to change them though.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.

Every bike is different.

Also refine your question %26quot;replace capillary%26quot;?

Older bikes, the caliper had to be removed to change the brake pads.

Most new bikes, they do not.
I think you mean Caliper?

Not usually but some have screwed in pins to hold pads that seize up.

Unless your real careful the caliper gets damaged and has to be replaced.

It may be the shop either doesn't want to do it or is ripping you off
